does monitors loses its sharpness?
Some people actually use a monitor for work. I prefer the added screen real estate for all the dialog boxes that I have open.
1920×1200 FTW!
Todays TN panels are more than adequate for everything including movies and games, IPS panels are more for color accuracy for photography, for mainstream consumer use the TN panels of today are more than sufficient not to mention much more affordable compared to IPS panels IMO =]
Havent watched it all but doesnt mention the old TN panel technology. ips all the way for viewing angles and colour
I’m looking to buy a LG W2452TX, but it only has 900:1 contrast ratio but it makes up for having 400cd/m2. Is it worth it?
It’s preference, if you don’t feel you need it that’s fine.
I personally prefer 1920×1200, the more pixels the better for me. 1920×1200 has also been around for longer with monitors so I think more older games are likely to support it. And if you’re looking at pictures, a 1600×1200 picture (from 4:3 monitors) will be viewable without resizing.
whitch are the dimensions of this LCD?
how much is this in australian dollars australian market?
Oh and it all varies according to each person’s preferences as well. I like the ‘closer to square’ shaped and larger16:10 format more.
16:9 formats are actually the standard for HDTVs. When it comes to monitors I can safely say that I saw an equal amount of people use 16:9 and 16:10.
The obvious benefit is that you get a slightly higher resolution, but at the same time you get a higher picture clarity (nvidia claims you get 2 times the picture clarity of 1080p but that’s slight exagerration on their part :p). Nvidia has been investing on game developers to make 1920×1200 THE standard in gaming as well.
i know right?
I don’t get why people would get 1920×1200 when it isn’t a 16:9 format i’m new with computers and that might be a really stupid question but is there any gain in getting a 1920×1200 vs getting a 1920×1080
Are there 2560×1600 24″ monitors? Or are they for 25″ and more?
Isn’t 1920×1200 FullHD, used in 42″ TVs?
same here
Samsung should have icluded an HDMI input in it.
I just picked this one up as an exchange for my defective 226BW (22″) and couldn’t be happier. Several picture customizations, really crisp colors, bright/contrast excellent, excellent resolution, excellent frame, 16:10, the stand is perfect (I don’t need swivel or height adjustments; tilt is great). I’d recommend this product to others.
1920 x 1080 is just fine for me
you kicked your father in the butt ??
Buttons on the side not good. Plus the buttons are all black with no lighter lettering.
Base doesn’t move that much. Not good. My HP has a much better base.
FUCK YOU for being more creative then me
What an awesome resolution!
WRONG! It stands for “Licking Cunts Dry” Idiot.
it comes with a cord WBBianHugo,
. Btw im doing the same thing your doing, got the monitor just for gaming, much cheaper and nice image
double sided cord one end connects to ur lappie, and one to ur monitor, After that go to your settings and change ur screen properties if you dont know how to do so look it up on youtube
PVA and IPS panels cost too much for the average consumer. And not all TN panels are bad. Typical TN panels have 800:1-1000:1 contrast ratio, which is okay, but not too good. You can also get higher end ones with 2000:1-4000:1 contrast ratio, and also with low 2ms response time, which will deliver about the same performance as a mainstream IPS.
