I don’t want to say this, but This video is pointless.
Whats the meaning of just openning a computer monitor?
nothing of course, unless he/she show a video in where
he/she fix an issue regarding no power or something else.

i just replaced some caps in my monitor…..
the caps that was in there was 470uf 16V…
    i replaced them with 470uf 35W..
al i can see now is faded white box blinking…
but i also dont have the correct power cord for it…could the power cord be the prob?

oh and the power led blinks…..if that helps

  3. potc420 says

not if you desolder just the capacitors and solder new ones in, They’re like 50 cents, and usually the cause of failure

  4. dangela424 says

Thanks for posting this video. It would have taken me forever to get into the back of my monitor.

I have one of these monitors. Yesterday The power would turn off after being on for a second. I used this video to take it apart and then inspected the pcb board. I found one connection missing solder.

I put solder on it and it works great now!

  13. memor99 says

What a joke anyone can take it apart , and replace a board. I should film my dog doing that . !!!!!!!! That was a repair dude!! for the price of the ps board you replaced i could have bought a new monitor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 2405 broke, I know how to fix it but I can’t get the damn thing open. Does it open the same way as this? If yes what is that blue tool that your using?

  20. andjohn2000 says

You are not repairing, but only change the PCB. Nothing special here.

    Hello Sir,

I think the title of your video is wrong.
Instead of “DELL LCD Momitor repair” it should be,
“How to open a DELL LCD Momitor” because there is
no repair at all in this video, is just on how to
open it, there is no such thing of repair in here.

  24. ankledie says

So you were simply replacing the power supply. I had hoped this video would show the process of diagnosing faulty components. Thanks anyway

Great Video. I repair PCs but I think I might try and repair my dead Westinghouse. You’ve cleared up some of the mystery.
